While in the Air National Guard, I worked in the photo lab. Our responsibilities were to be available with movie and still cameras in the event of an inflight emergency by one of the F-4s, photos for our base paper and official officer portraits. I only experienced an aircraft emergency once in my career, and it was a doozy. The grip and grin shots for the base paper were sometimes difficult for me, I don't have the makeup to "boss" people around, as were the officer's official portraits. It was probably more to do with me not wanting to mess up,  I was always a nervous wreck until we got the prints done.

Today, I enjoy the challenge of portraits. I have a few people that call on me every year (yes, they are family), and they are a lot of fun to work with.
