An Illinois Road Trip- The Christmas Ship
I decided to make this a separate gallery from the Big City gallery, this one is a special case that needs to be highlighted. The Coast Guard does a salute to a shipping captain from the day of the tall ship on Lake Michigan. A captain that brought Christmas Tree's to the docks in Chicago, to be sold directly to the citizenry of Chicago. Today, the trees are brought in to be given out to the less fortunate folks of Chicago. I won't go on and on about this, but if you decided to go check this out, before you go, I might suggest that you go to Lee Murdock's website, http://www.leemurdock.com . Lee is a musician from Kane County who tells the history of the Great Lakes in song, and his song
