Abraham Lincoln Capitol Airport has been home to commercial, military and general aviation for many years. The current airport director, Mark Hanna, has brought the airport into the 21st century with his renovation of the terminal building. Having been an airport rat most of my life, this airport has never looked better. It is modern, clean and functional. For those of you that live in the Springfield area, I urge you to visit the airport, see the valuable asset this town has, and whenever possible, PLEASE use this wonderful facility. There are options to Chicago, Dallas, Florida and Phoenix.
